Hi, has anyone had the injection every 28 days as well as taking hrt?? This has been recommended for me but I'm so worried about side effects more then anything. Was just wondering what people's experiences are.

I had the injections and then I was given hrt by a doctor that I never seen before it made me sick and I had headachs so Iwent to see my doctor and she told me that hrt is only ment for after you have the hysterectomy so I would go back and see the doctor your use to

I've had a month and then a 3 month dose of triptorelin now.

When I had my month long dose I took HRT at the same time and coped fine - I had a few hot flushes but to be honest that was probably the only side effect I had. But I had to stop taking the HRT tablets after my 3 month jab. My hormones were literally everywhere!! My mood swings were terrible and I felt lower than I have done in a long time. I stopped taking them and after a week I felt back to normal. The hot flushes are horrendous though. I'm really struggling with them! But on the positive side I've been pain free for 4 months 😀. My jab runs out this month and I'm dreading the pain again.

I am now on it for the third time,This time for only 3 months the other 2 were both for 6 months,I went on hrt last time as i was suffering very badly from hot flushes they were just very bad and i could no longer continue with them after i had tried for some time.Hrt stops side effects so you only need it if you have them bad enough,So far this time i am not suffering too bad with the hot flushes but the headaches i am finding very hard to deal with but havent gone on the hrt as of yet as i dont want to unless i am too bad.
