New to Endo

I'm 22 and I was diagnosed with Endometriosis on the 10th of February this year. 4 months in and I'm back in the same pain before the laparoscopy (if not, worse).

I'm really scared I won't be able to have children because I had a lot of endometriosis over my uterus when I had my lap. It's causing me a lot of stress because I can't get an appointment with a specialist until 22nd August. I don't know how much longer I can leave it or carry on with daily pains which come and go along with the constant fatigue. If anyone has any tips/suggestions or even any support I'd be so grateful.

  • Hi Lauren

Sorry to hear you are having pains again.

I have undiagnosed endo. At 43 and having horrendous pains all my period life, and no help from doctors other than pills, I bought the book The Period Repair Manual.

I chatted online with the author, I am related, but she chats online to whoever asks for help.

I have started on her recommended diet - no gluten, no sugar, no dairy. And taking particular supplements.

At the start of the year u had a period so bad it was like giving birth.

In the last ten weeks my fatigue us still here, but less and for the first time ever I could stop period pain with paracetamol.

Dr Lara Briden has a lot of very good, well researched information and successfully treats a lot of women.

Hope that gives you some hope.

If you would like recipes or menus just ask, I am happy to email some to make things easier to start.

    All the best
