Bleeding between periods

After years of regular periods, I'm finding I keep spotting. Every week I'm getting a mini period. I'm 44, no pain, no other symptoms. Had a cervical smear, await results. Also going to see GP next week to discuss. However, any thoughts about what this could be? Entirely new scenario! Thanks

Yess,its sounding like the start of menopause.

That spotting and irregular bleeding can be the start.

Periods together or skipping them is common from now on.

Im hoping thats all it is for you.

That might go on for a few years like that if it is.
