Hi All,
New member here. Hope all of you are doing well.
For the past few months I've been having dull constant pelvic pain. It started early this year when I had the most horrific stabbing pelvic pain. I ended up going to the A&E and they performed an ultrasound. The doctor said I had a hemmhoragic cyst which was bleeding in itself. However since then the pain hasn't completely subsided. I've had a follow scan which showed no cyst, so presuming it must have dissolved. However the pain is still not going away. Yesterday I again had the stabbing pain out of no where, I literally could not walk and it hurt to move. The pain is where I presume my ovaries would be and it travels back to the rectum (sorry TMI!). This time I didn't bother going to the emergency and took a couple of painkillers and hot water bottle. Today the pain is better, but still feels very sore. The thing is the pain doesn't seem to be linked to my period, as it appears out of the blue. However on a side note my periods have always been a little painful and irregular. The last few periods have lasted longer than 10 days with lots of brown spotting.
I've been to the GP to express my concern about endometriosis, but she just brushes it off.
Does this sound like endometriosis?
