Hi Hun I'm not an expert but the MRI scans for back are on different settings so they only can the spine rather than the whole pelvis and also not the scan sequences needed to pick up endo. Hope that helps a bit x
Hi I had 2 MRIs together - one on the back and one on the pelvis. I think deep endo nodules show on MRI but not nessarily the small surface ones.
No idea re settings etc though, they just moved a plate down to different areas for me as I had an open MRI, that's how I know I had 2.
My MRI picked up a shadow in the uterus wall indicating Adenomyosis, which has been giving me a really bad pack pains.
I didn't realise I was having 2 scans until I was there. Maybe you are having both too?
Hx
I have had endometriosis for approx 10 years, I had an MRI last year for tailbone pain and it didn't pick up on my endo or Adenomyosis which I have just been diagnosed with from an internal scan last month.
