Hi my daughter had her surgery last week and has been fine until this morning as she is frying waves of pain like a period pain so bad that it is doubling her over !! It's so bad. She is on the pill back to back and has just gone from one packet to the next could this be a sign of her getting a period do you think ?

Hi Hun I would get in touch with consultant in case there is an infection. Sorry to hear she's not doing so well.

Is her tummy hot to touch, especially at the wound sites? If so it could be an infection and will need sorting quickly with antibiotics.

I remember getting griping for my last two surgeries, I had bowel involvement both times so I took a laxative and that relived the pain, all the pain killers etc can really upset your bowel too.

I hope she feels much better soon xx
