Hi I am looking for some advice if anyone can help. After waiting so long and suffering I have eventually been given an appointment for my laparoscopy and dye test. However my period is due around it. It is so irregular it may not come but does anyone know if it does come can I still have the procedure? Any helps appreciated thanks

Periods make absolutely no difference, you should go to all gynaecologist appointments even if your bleeding heavily, its there job they kind of expect it. The lap and dye test are pretty straight forward and a quick recovery. Hope this helps xx

I was coming towards the end of my period when I had my lap and it was fine X

I was on when I had my lap. The Drs weren't fazed by my grotty period knickers and when I came round they had stuck a big thick sanitary towel to me lol 😂

Hi thanks for replys. I had my pre assesment the other day and the leaflet they gave me away says you can't have your period during it for some reason. I've called the Dr's secretary but still waiting a response

Wow, really? I wouldn't ha e thought it made any difference at all, although during your period things inside are very different to a normal mid-cycle day. Maybe that's why xx
