Just casually sitting with my usual right aided pelvic pain and wondering I'm on 3 monthly injections to see if I have endo and they have been working as in reduced the pain from everyday of month to only a few is this normal? Anyone else had this treatment but still experienced some pain.

I am also on this for three months, had the first at the end of Jan and the second injection is due next week. For the first week I had increased symptoms, which I believe is because the body is trying to counteract the drug, but since then have felt a lot better. I still have the odd twinge and some discomfort but nothing like before. I also have ibs, so I have been attributing some of the discomfort to this. I also think that if there are existing endo adhesions then it makes sense there will be some continued pain, as the drug stops the hormones that create the problem so will pause the process, but won't get rid of what's already there. I have adhesions between ovary and bowel so I think some of my pain is this pulling when I move or when my bowels are full. I hope this is helpful, and this is just my understanding of the treatment, so do please check with your GP or consultant for any specific advice.
Hi thanks very much for your reply. I appreciate all your help and advice. I'm glad I'm not the only one going thro this. I was told I had crohns at beginning of year due to a colonoscopy showing adhesions and ulcers on my bowel then had another a few months which was clear so they say they have mis diagnosed me!!! Was a joke but been battling this pain in pelvis with alternate bowel issues for years gynaecology have got involved hence the injections being used. Due back to see my gyn in March but going to ask to be referred to specialist as I have had two previous lap clear but I think they may have been looking in wrong area. If u don't mind me asking what was ur symptoms? And how long did it take for u to be diagnosed?
glad to be able to help! I'm in a similar situation having been passed between gynae and gastro numerous times. I'm still waiting for a conclusive endo diagnosis, but the consultant I saw thinks everything is pointing to that. my symptoms are pain and discomfort all around pelvic area but mainly across the front low down between hips with twinges of pain/pulling to either side and also around pubic area. I have also been suffering with general body aches and fatigue . the pain can be any time but worse leading up to period, which are fairly light. I've had ibs for bout 8/9 years but these symptoms have built up over the last 3/4 years and become worse over the last year.
I think it's well worth being referred to a specialist in my experience they're much more understanding.
