Hi ladies going to docs tomorrow to see about being referred to a endo specialist for second opinion found one on the bsge page I think it's called how does it work what do I need my go to do ?

Hi there. Ask your gp to refer you to a gynaecologist specialising in endometriosis. Also worth checking if any hospitals near by are centre of excellence in endometriosis.

Closest one to me is Edinburgh or Aberdeen I stay glasgow

I live in Glasgow and got referred to Edinburgh. GP didn't know about safehaven but just wrote a letter direct. The were very good. Explained everything a lot better and took their time with me. Defo try get referred there. Good luck.

Hi Leah I'm in the same position as you. I'm in The highlands and only centres are Aberdeen or Edinburgh so different health boards. I'm not sure where I stand with a referral either but wanted to wish you lots of luck xx

Hi I'm 1 week post op and still really sore I'm back to work on Wednesday and I really don't know how I'm going to do it I'm really sore got tramadol and naproxen. I'm bleeding still and it's worse than when I first came out the hospital.

Yeah linda thank you for your advice re getting referred to see specialist. Soz. Didn't realise she hadn't been diagnosed. I phoned the hospital before my doc referred me and spoke to one of the docs secretary's. She was really helpful and understanding. Maybe she could advise best course of action for leah to take. I also have a very good GP so she had no problems of writing the letter asking for a second opinion but as you say will maybe be different if not diagnosed.

Hi everyone sorry I had no signal at work today thank you for all replys I'm a bit lost with them all I didn't get to doctors other day I'm hoping to get appointment for Thursday morning but I'd like to have all the questions and addresses etc of where I'd like referred to etc I don't know where safe haven is ? And if the will refer me to Edinburgh or Aberdeen as out with my area but I need something as I can't go on like this I have no quality of life at moment and feel like it's a vicious circle, and docs answer is loose weight and get coil fitted lindle I have also sent you a private message also anyone any advice on what to say to doctors on Thursday thank you ladies x

Hi thanks I feel like I'm either in agony passing urine or sometime have loss of control of bladder and urgency I don't no if endo would do this
