Hi, my question is ladies who have endometriosis do they have painful periods everytime they get a period or is it most of their periods?
Can you answer my question plz: Hi, my... - Endometriosis UK
Can you answer my question plz

I was diagnosed last year. I would say that before 2010 I old just have heavy bleeds and some cramping and back ache. And between 2010 and 2014 I wold have the same but SOME periods were far worse (with throwing up, change in bowel movement, and unbearable pain) this only happened every other month or so. Which is why I put of going to the doctor I would always say "if it happens again next month I'll go" and it wouldn't happen two months in a trot. And sometimes I would have 3 periods that weren't so bad... and then a killer one!
Hope this helps in some way x
thank you so much for your reply.
i have got my first appointment on the 9th and i have a feeling i might have endo because i have painful heavy period with really bad back and belly pains and really bad bowel movements. I had 1 period that was ok just a bit of pain then 2 periods that were severely painful and then the next one was just bowel problems. thats why i wanted to know if endo was affected with every period or not.
Endo is a strange thing, one person can have severe endo and have little pain, and another person can have minimal endo and loads of pain.
It is great you have an appointment, but be prepared. Maybe make a list of your symptoms, etc. Doctors rooms can be daunting and I know own I have experienced times when I have forgotten to mention things.
They doctor may even fob you off, happens with most women. Is your appointment with a gyne? Depending on what they say, maybe suggest an ultrasound scan, and a CA125 blood test. Endo can't be diagnosed with either of the two but will may give them some idea.
Hope it goes well. Sometimes helps to take someone with you. I had my mum with me demanding this that and the other lol. X
Thanks for the advice and yes i am prepared i have made a list of my symptoms and also have a period diary. my appointment is with gyne i got referred to one from my gp. I have done a lot of research about this as well and thats why i think it might be this because at the moment im scared to go out to work because i think i'll just faint from all the pain because that has happened before.
I have heard stories about the doctors as well hoping i get a doctor who understands me because im 19 i dont want the doctor saying im too young or something because i want to live my life better which i hope they will understand and help me out.
Hi, thanks for your reply, I will look into that
Can you tell me whether endo is affected with every period or not because I have about 2 3 periods a year that are fine and about 6 7 that are really bad and the rest are moderate?
