Hi you must do what is right for you, but be aware that having a hysterectomy will not get rid of the endo, so you could still have pain. Was your gynaecologist a specialist on the BSGE list? If not I would suggest a second opinion from one that is.
The gold standard of treatment for endo is thorough excision in a BSGE specialist centre, the surgeon at these centres are much more qualified in dealing with excision, and the likelihood of a genral gyne missing endo is high, so he may have missed some,
A hysterectomy does NOT CURE endo, the best option if going down this road is to still get a specialist looking inside in order to remove current endo, and having ovaries out too, but that is not advisable unless your overuse ore unhealthy, endo Feds on estogen which your ovaries still produce without the uterus, also endo can self feed, so any remaining endo can carry on living and growing,
I had a hysterectomy in July for Adenomyosis and I have endo, a lap in March was supposed to remove all endo, but I'm still in pain, i wasn't operated on by a specialist, and beleave he missed endo, or didn't deal with appropriately.
Go to your GP and ask fir referral to a specialist,
Look up a lady called Lindle and read her posts, it will help you get referred.
Good luck xxx
