Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with endo and for all my adult life suffered from acne around my chin and neck. Could these two be linked? If so, has anyone found any ways to control it? Xxx
Acne and endo: Hi, I have recently been... - Endometriosis UK
Acne and endo
I also have suffered with acne, only found the contraceptive pill to work, dianette was a good one for me (I was only all owed dianette for so long due to risk of DVT) now I'm on Yasmin doesn't work for endo pain but does give me nice skin xx
I suffer the same problem. I know it sounds boring but drinking plenty of water and eating lots or fruit and veg really help me when i break out
Yes....but only in my 40s. I'm now 44 and have scars. Baaad acne. My son turned 12 and bought Burts Bees tea tree oil acne med which comes in a roll on small bottle. Wow! Clears up without all the inflamed tissue and constant pustules. Only one recently that inflamed but healed. Spread to legs as well. Husband thinks it's a combo of hormones and toxins from dealing with enfo. Body has to do something with the stuff. Product has worked for the boys and i...also husbands psoriasis. I can't use nutragena as it burns my super white skin. Now only deep scars. But at least no more painful boil like acne. Also in my ears.....that hurts!! Roll on fits right inside and clears it up. No drying skin peel either. Soothing face wash found at a company called Badger. Rose of Demarcus. Both can be found on net.
I'm sorry to hear many of you have been experiencing acne. I hope you are able to find treatments soon that work for you.
For those of you that currently have acne, I'm wondering whether you might be willing to participate in my research exploring the emotional experiences of having acne as an adult? Participation involves completing an online survey, which takes c.20 minutes, and by doing so you could win up to £50 in vouchers.
For some people, acne can be a distressing experience and I'm hoping that this study will help inform the ways professionals respond to people who are distressed about it.
I posted more details about it at: healthunlocked.com/britishs...
Thanks a lot, Susie.
