I'm a little confused.

I've been going to the gp because I've been bleeding for 5-6 months almost non-stop. The ultrasound has shown a large cyst and I have my appointment to discuss what's going to happen next with my GP on Friday. Right, my confusion, is that the bleeding seems to have stopped... I though it may be a short break like i've had previously but it's been over a week now with not a single sign of blood... I'm on the implant so I doubt pregnancy but my boobs hurt as if I was coming on. The pain in my abdomen is so much worse than it has been recently, the pain comes in waves so suddenly and I go pale and feel like I'm going to be sick. I'm very bloated with an achy discomfort in my back and right side of my lower abdomen also. Suggestions?

Hi

I think the dull ache is pressure and probably your bowel is getting involved

Good luck

That wouldn't surprise me as bowel movements are very very painful. x

It could be a possibility that the cyst is bursting that this can cause a lot of pain. Are you diagnosed with anything else? Endometriosis can make your tummy more swollen or the cyst can do this as well. Have a look on NHS and see if you recognize any of these symptoms:

nhs.uk/conditions/ovarian-c...

This is more information about Endometriosis

Have a look, write your symptoms down and bring this to the GP. I know you got an implant, so how long you got this one? Maybe your body is rejecting it?

Hope this is usefull?

Best regards,

I've had my implant for over a year, I don't think that the cyst is bursting either. I'm not yet diagnosed with anything else but there is a strong family history of endometriosis x

I had a large cyst and when the surgeons wanted to remove it it was gone. Thecyst burst and i can rrmember having very dark discharge the week before. They found endo instead, which they removed.

Stay in touch with gp and get yourself referral to gynacologist. If there is family history then there could be a possibility you got it as well.

I have cysts and have bleeding on and off. My doc said it's due to cysts spilling over and blood has too come out.

They give me stabbing pains. Definitely continue with investigation s as they take so long to refer you to hospital gynecological department.
