The past couple of months, after a really bad/heavy period, I've been having thrush..

It's been making me feel so uncomfortable and I don't know what to do 😔

Hello ellis13 I have experienced really bad periods and thrush I have even had treatment for the thrush and it hasn't gone!

I've found that femfresh wash its £1.69 if you get superdrug own and it's really helped me!

Hope you find some treatment for it soon and that it gets better x

Hi ellis13, I have this same problem. I end up with mild thrush symptoms (itchy and uncomfortable) after my period which I think it's because of the pads and usually an application or two of caneston usually helps me, but I have to wear pads all the time so it's not often I don't feel itchy and uncomfortable. I also find the scented ones you can get makes the problem slightly worse - it's a pain really because I can't use tampons as they increase the pain and I flood through them anyway - it's really frustrating, as if we've not got enough to deal with!

I have tried the femfresh wipes before and they can make you feel refreshed so might give the wash a go on the back of thatgirl101's suggestion 👍 x

I stopped wearing tampons mid last period as I found I kept flooding through (ultra ones aswell) and I felt slightly cleaner..

I've found the thrush this time round isn't as aggressive as last, so I'm going to try next period (whenever that is) without them altogether ..

Thank you for the advice 😊

Xx
