There is an acupressure point called "Large Intestine 4" you should find pictures on the internet but it is on the back of the hand on the between the thumb and first finger. If you push around in there, you'll soon find it because it will be tender if you're in pain. I use the thumb from the other hand to press it or rub it. It can be used for any pain or stress but is particularly good for period pain or labour pain. Because it helps move things in that area it should never be used whilst pregnant.
If you have long nails you're best using something else to press on the point, the blunt end or a pen or pencil is usually suitable.
Sorry you so sore Hun, I'm the same today, I was taking prescribed dihydrocodene, diclofenic and paracetomal though it was doing nothing for the pain my gp suggested trying the tramadol combination again so they could tell gynaecology all pain relief options have been tried, i have been told I can take paracetomal with the tramadol and diclofenic which although the pain doesn't disappear complety Hun it does dull it to make day to day things almighty easier I have also been prescribed 2 mg diazepam to ease the spasms they have been making the pain in my leg unbearable. I take 100mg tramadol every four hours, 1000mg paracetomal every four hours, 50mg diclofenic three times a day, 2mg diazepam first thing and before bed. It's doesn't work miracles Hunni though it does ease I also sit with a hot water bottle at my back all day everyday. Good luck Hunni it gets you so down does it I've bubbled and bubbled all day. I just been started on a pill also to stop periods so I will take it for 3 months with no break lxxxx
Sorry to hear you are in such pain. I find those heat patches that are meant for backs and shoulders really useful. Just pop one on your clothing next to your affected area and they will give you warmth and comfort, without being as obvious as carrying round a hot water bottle. They last for up to 12 hours too- they really are a life saver!
