I was very grateful when I finally had the second one removed. It took 3 laparoscopies and 5 laparotomies until that happened. After a period of recovery which included the realisation that HRT would bring it back I came readily to terms with no ovaries or uterus. I was 33 and frankly glad I was alive as endometriosis almost killed me. There is life after ovaries! Believe me! I went on to stay happily married for 40 years and became a very successful career woman. Endometriosis Vs no ovaries?? No contest.
Hi hun, thankyou for your reply very kind of you to help. Unfortunately my ovaries seem to be damaged by the endo and the 3 endometriomas that I have and them being stuck here, there and everywhere. I really do think it is best if they come out as they are causing me grief. I take it you went straight into menopause, how are you now? And how long ago did you have your surgery, after your surgery to remove your ovaries and uterus what happened? Did you take any HRT meditation and if you did what did you have and how where you with side effects etc. I would be very interested you hear about your experiences as I have been told that a full hysterectomy is in order for me. Thanks xxxx
