Diet and endometriosis

Hi

I wondered what foods you ladies eat to help with the endo pain and what makes it worse?

At the moment I am just drinking loads of peppermint tea which helps with the bloating.

Last time I found cheese made it worse but any ideas of easing the bloating and pain through diet would be much appreciated.

I'm trying a gluten-free diet at the moment. It actually seems to be working really well, much less bloating = much less pain. :)

Check out;

There is a whole diet especially designed to help with endo. It can be a bit overwhelming at first. When I read it for the first time I remember thinking "what is there left to eat?!" but just take it in stages and see what works for you. Wheat/gluten is at the top of the list but I tried this and it didn't really make any difference for me but it may work for you.

Good luck, hope you find something that helps xx

Hi

I started the endo diet about 4 weeks ago. I thought what else is left too. Looking back I had already cut out alcohol and caffeine anyway. I found cheese set me off just before I started the diet.

I have literally just gone back to work this week after a lap in may.

Many people there and my friends have noticed I've lost weight (about 5kg) but also saying how good my hair and skin are. I'm buying fruit n veg like it's going out of fashion.

I'm hoping to see more results with my endo pain as time goes by. I still treat myself to cakes -gluten free tho.

hope this helps. Sorry for long post.

I am trying the FODMAP diet to see if that helps with the pain, bloating and constipation, whether it is from Endo or IBSC ! If I can pinpoint any food type that is making things worse it will be worth the effort !!

I also drink a lot of Peppermint Tea.

Hi I have been wheat/gluten free for many years. I then eliminated dairy however I still have cheese and the odd ice cream. I try to eat and have as many Organic foods as possible I have read numerous articles on polluted foods and even tap water containing hormones. For supplements/minerals everyone's body is different. A good nutritionist that I found helpful is Marilyn Glenville, there is a section on endo, download the ebook for £3.95 and she also does telephone appointments😊 Good luck.

I have gone gluten and dairy free (although allow myself to indulge occasionally when I'm having a good few days) and this has really helped. Lots of fresh fruit, veg and water is good. Also peppermint tea is good.
