Is this correct??

I have just been told the pain i am in is unlikely to be endo because I do not get periods and endo pain comes and goes which My pain doesn't, I am in constant pain and have been for months. I don't get "good days" and would if it was endo pain.

Is the Dr right or not?

Hi hun.

It is quite common to suffer from daily pain with endometriosis hun, so I would disagree with the Dr?

Do you have pain that is worse on certain days? Alot of women with endometriosis have constant pain, some have bad pain at ovulation and then the build up and during your period, so I would say they can't just rule it pit because you have constantly in pain.

The only way to be sure hun would be to have a laparoscopy so they can have a look xx

Did your doctor schedule any scans or a laparoscopy to assist diagnosis? You need to demand a diagnosis and as Mummy1982 says the best way of doing this is a laparoscopy. An MRI is sometimes useful but it is limited in what it can show so it is not as definitive as a lap.

Do you get any PMS symptoms? This article md-health.com/Pms-Symptoms-... gives some causes for not having periods. Have a look and see if any of these could be the reason. Polycystic ovaries might be a reason why you are in pain and also not having periods. I also think you should get a blood test for iron as you might be anaemic. The doctor should have done this.

Your doctor is clearly of the ignorant view that endometriosis pain is only felt at the time of your period. This is incorrect. It can be felt at any time in the cycle and sometimes all the time.

I get daily pain, and have been for nearly 8 years now. That's why it was so hard for them to even think I might have endo.

Oh sorry, should have said. My dr has known for years I had endo due to something in a scan when I was 14. I had a lap in April to confirm but it only showed a tiny amount of endo. I didn't get the best Dr for the diagnosis so I have an appointment with the head gynaecologist in my area at the end of the month. I have been in constant pain since January which got better for a couple of weeks then came back. I am now on gabapentin to control the pain because I was taking tramadol daily for months.

I have the coil. That is why I have no period. All I get is painful breasts and spots for 5days every month. This only started a couple of months ago so I know my hormones have changed. I have also been on the pill since 12 apart from when I had my children. Now 27.

Scan shows everything looks fine and lap showed I have a tiny endo cysts on my right ovary and left pelvis.

According to every Dr I've seen the endo very unlikely to be the cause of the pain.

And iv been told no three times now about a referral to a specialist as there is only 1 in Scotland. And I'm not serious enough to be sent to him. and because I'm Scotland there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it.

Seems silly but I'm now worried because my dr seems to think that it has to be something worse than the endo I have. She doesn't know what though
