can endo travel?

This may be a silly question but can endo travel up the abdo?

I have a really bad pain below my right ribs and the doctors have said my scan on my gallbladder is fine. Could this be my endo on the move?

Endo can travel in some rare cases it's been found in the lungs. Have you spoke to your gp about your concerns re it travelling?

I'm in a similar situation with my bowels and was open with my gp that I thought it could be endo so I'm having an investigation as a&e felt the same. I hope you get to the bottom of what's causing pain, it wears people down if we can't get on top of it xx

Yes it can, and don't believe any of that nonsense when doctors tell you its rare for it to move from your ovaries. It happens to lots of Endo sufferers. I'm in a similar situation with bowel and bladder pain at the minute, had bladder tests, kidney tests, and now being sent for a bowel test to rule that out. Doctor looked at me like I was stupid when I mentioned I think it could be Endo spreading.

Don't rule it out x

It can be quite common to find endo on the diaphragm. Sometimes this is associated with shoulder pain. Like others have said it can migrate to the lungs but this is uncommon. The most common areas for it to spread to are in the localised abdomen area e.g bladder, bowel, appendix, diaphragm, ureters etc.

I like you had pain in my ribs but I had no end other than in my abdomen area and none on my diaphragm. Strangely it went away after surgery. It must have been due to referred pain (where pain signals travel through the nerves and rather than feel pain at the source, you feel it in a different place e.g low back pain could be your hip, or shoulder pain can be your diaphragm.
