Endo stages!
I am diagnosed with stage 4 and I beleive what that means is the state in which they surgically found the endometriosis is that particular stage and usually stage 4 means you are more prone to have the endo come back. I've had three surgeries in an 8 year span. My advice is to make sure you are fully educated on your doctors methods and I recommend a specialist if you have stage 4.
Endo doesn't come back, it is either thoroughly removed by exision, or is not properly removed by other methods, requiring women to have several unnecessary surgeries.
I do agree that some woman go thru unnecessary procedures due to the doctor not being fully educated on endometriosis and the correct surgical procedures but my last surgery was performed by Dr. seckin , he is a very well known endometriosis specialist and is co founder/president of the endometriosis foundations and even he has told me there might be another surgery in the future.
I mean I truly hope it does not come back but I also have to share what my doctors who are thoroughly trained and seen decades of cases have said as well. a
Hi,
I have stage 4 endometriosis which was officially diagnosed in march last year. At that time they tried to lazer as much as they could and how much they thought my body could handle at one time. I am now due for another op on the 28th to try to remove more endo but this time off my bowels and bladder.
I think it's the category they put you in so you will always be in that category so they know what stage your endo has got to.
Hope this helps a little bit, good luck with your op!x
They should've explained what they were going to do in the operation. As far as I've ever been told, they can't remove any organs like your ovaries or uterus without letting you know if that's a possibility first. Otherwise, they'll most likely removed the endometriosis, cut any adhesions they find, and probably drain any cysts that have formed. Judging form when this was posted, t probably already happened.
I don't know if you'd still be considered to have stage 4 endometriosis after they remove it, but if anything, it'll help with pain and hopefully improve the health of surrounding organs.
Best of luck to you!
