I've been having zoladex injections for the last 8 months and have had hrt for the last 3 months. After a few months on zoladex, my pain improved massively. However last week my pain all just suddenly returned! Has anyone else experienced this? I'm so confused because I don't understand why this would happen!

This is exactly what happened to me on Decapeptyl. I had 6 moths without HRT and all my pain disappeared. Then theymade me take HRT and back crept the pain. The reason is that HRT contains oestrogen, which we need for many functions ,but alas endo is a condition caused/made worse by oestrogen.I would ask to come off the HRT and have as long as they will let you without(it is only licensed for 6 months without HRT) then you have to stop.Is this in preparation for surgery?
Thanks so much for replying! It's good to hear that someone else has experienced this! I was just so confused!! I can't stop the hrt because I had 6 months of zoladex on it's own before I started having the hrt.
I had my endometriosis lasered and then had another lap because I was still in pain. Nothing at all was there when they operated. I wondered whether I had adenomyosis because my symptoms seem to fit so my consultant said to try zoladex and hrt because it would give an indication to whether a hysterectomy would make any difference.
