So after many years of the pain, bleeding, headaches, nausea, hospital visits and being bounced from one specialist to another...ive finally been diagnosed. But one question none of my docs seem willing to answer fully is, will this get worse....will the tissue spread further , will my symptoms get more intense as time goes on. I'm in my late 20's and wanted to know what this will mean for me in later life. Since my lap, my symptoms do seem worse pain all the time now as well as the nausea. Headache hasn't shifted for almost 15 weeks ;(, and in exhausted all the time. Xx thanks for listening to my rant and any advice you can give me xxx

I guess there's no easy answer to this, but as I understand things, unless something is done to eradicate the endo you have permanently (excise), it will contiue to cause problems. You really need to find a course of treatment that works for you, basically, stopping or limiting your periods, as each one causes the endo to flare up. Whether this means back to back Pill, Mirena coil, implants or something else will depend on what your specialist recommends and then what works best for you personally. Sadly, there's no easy fix for this illness.

I've already got the implant, had it since january. Its the one in my arm though, are the coils better for reliving symptoms? I've bled constantly almost since having it but in, had so many bouts of iron tabs I think im rattling lol xxx

I havent tried either yet, so couldnt say, but i do know it seems to help some women, but not others. I've had 2 courses of Prostap, which stopped symptoms pretty much, but I'm not happy having it long term, so Im off to see an endo specialist next week. It all seems to be trial and error as to what will work for you - it is a horrible thing to have. Hope you find something which works for you soon!
