Been diagnosed with Endo since I was 11. Still having problems

Hello everyone, I'm new to all of this and its only recent I found out that there was online support. I was diagnosed with endometriosis when i was 11 years old. I started my period when I was 10. I was always in constant pain, had heavy periods and no one really believed me with how severe my pains was. After a year of starting my periods and being in severe pain I finally got my first lap at age 11 they found quiet alot of Endo on my pelvic walls and close to my bladder. It was quiet scary at first but I'm 25 years old now and have had 5 laps my recent one was June 7th. I am still suffering very badly and had Endo inside my bladder on the pelvic walls and near my bowl. I also found out that I have interstitial cystitis and a bad prolapse womb. Thank god though I was blessed with a beautiful boy 5 years ago and carrying him was the only time I felt normal because for those 9 months I didn't have no pain. I'm currently waiting to see my gynecologist but my options are very slim I now have to discuss a hysterectomy which I am very sad about because i wanted one more child. Anyways I thought id share my story. Sorry for going on. I'm glad that this place is here though.

  • You dont understand how nice it is to read someone elses story about being diagnosed earlier (I was diagnosed at the age of 17 but had pain since I was about 10/11) and that someone else decided to have children earlier than most people expect.

Sorry, I really dont have much else to say except I know what its like having endo everywhere at such a young age. Im 18, I have stage 4 and its basically everywhere! Personally, I would say dont give up for your second baby yet, your still young. I know this sounds horrible but maybe you could try ivf?

  • Thank you for your reply and support. I'm sorry that you have had to suffer with this horrible illness aswell. My hospital was in a way pressuring me to have a baby because they wasn't sure if I was infertile. They said that if I didn't fall pregnant within there time limit then id need to start ivf. I wanted to be a young mum anyways so I tried and it took me and my partner a year maybe a bit longer. But now I am in constant agony even after having my op and I have tried literally every medication. It has gotten to the point that I really am considering a hysterectomy. I don't no how much longer I can put up with it all.
