Please tell me this eventually sucks less? - Endometriosis.

I've had horrific periods since they first started. It was a blight all through secondary school. Midway through college I was put on the pill and then eventually the implant for the pain etc (I didn't want to use the pill as contraception as my memory is crap). They did tests and couldn't find any cysts or anything so they said you probably have Endo, but as your only 17 no point doing further tests just yet to confirm diagnosis as you'll not want children for a while yet. Thankfully I got lucky with the implant and my periods were paused by it -bliss.

Unfortunately the period pausing power of the implant started fading, I was having them replaced at two years instead of free to stop the periods coming back. The last one didn't even last a year before I was bleeding again. So my clinic suggested I go onto the hormonal coil. I wasn't keen but consented.

NOW I AM IN HELL. I have not stopped bleeding for more than two days this entire month, I am in AGONY, I got sent home from work yesterday (I work as a catering assistant) for crying and groaning over the coffee machine as I was in so much pain. Totally freaked my partner out ringing him up in tears. Thankfully he managed to get me a doctors appointment.

As I am now nearly 23 the doctor is re-referring me to the gyno so I can have all the tests redone to check for cysts etc, then he said we might progress too laproscapy. He's put me on GABAPENTIN and HYOSCINE BUTYLBROMIDE for the pain and cramping in the mean while. Has anyone else taken these? The side effects sounds quite nasty, need to see how I react to them before I go back to work (first dose this morning)

I just need a hug and a chat. Elliot my partner is being very supportive and helpful, but as he has no uterus he's a bit lost as to everything that's going on and the sheer amount of pain. Thankfully I have Sheep with me ( A cuddly Sheep shaped microwavable bean filled toy) to help.

Thanks for listening ladies.

I hope they find some relief for you soon.

I wish I had more advice, but my stage 4 didn't come with a lot of pain, just problems conceiving. I'm having treatment to hopefully help with that.
