I had a hysterectomy 16 years ago for endometriosis but I still get that same pain I had now but obviously without the bleeding. Can you still have endo when u had a hysterectomy? Or is anyone else in this situation? Thanks all xxx vicky xxx

Unfortunately you can. Especially if your ovaries are left or you are on HRT.

Are you being seen by a specialist again .

My consultant has told me that I will have to go on hormone treatment for 3 months before he will carry out a hysterectomy to confirm that if I have one it will actually stop the endometriosis as having one is not a guaranteed cure. Sorry. X

Oh dear this sounds like I may still have some endo then :( I am not on HRT I used to be on it til about 4 years ago when my doc stopped it coz my blood pressure went up. I had my ovaries removed too so I can't understand how the endo would be feeding if I'm not on any hormones??? Very confused lol. Thanks ladies xxx
