I had to hand in my notice due to me havi... - Endometriosis UK
I had to hand in my notice due to me having endo very painful indeed. Was wondering if anyone else have to leave there job cause of this
Hi, I've had to leave work due to the pain as i was told if i was off 1 more time i would get sacked My GP had been giving me sick lines and i then went on and applied for Employment support allowance. It depends on your circumstances in what they will pay you tbh, as i am married and my husband works (altho has a very low income) i get buttons to live on and we struggle to get by each week. We have just had to take out a 0% interest on a credit card just to get us by until I've had my operation and fingers crossed will help the pain so i can get back to work. Benefits and work just think endo is not that serious and think we make it up tbh. I've been looking into it and not much help out there at all tbh. xx
I'm in the same boat as you hunny. I'd just started a new job too and had to leave after a couple of months.
As mentioned you should apply for Employment Support Allowance, you can't do it online you have to do it by phone so just give the jobcentre a call and they will put you through. You just need sick notes from your doctor.
I know how you feel. My old place of work, ESA and my Fiance's family think that there is nothing wrong with me and it's just a bit of pain that I can just get over. If only they knew eh. Best wishes xxxx
Thanks ladies for getting back to me. X Yeah ill phone job centre xxx
Good luck
Hi Paula, now it's been a few months I was just wondering how you were getting on with work/benefits? X
