Pcos and endo!?

So I've had endo now for 5 years. And now just been told I have pcos too and been put on metformin. Was told it's prob the reason why I've been struggling to loose weight as well! I'm just worried and panicked a little. My biggest fear is not having children and just worries me even more now! Does anyone else have both ?? X

Yes I have both. I was diagnosed with PCOS and Endo in 1991.

I was told to have babies as young as possible. I have three children and unfortunately I have had two

miscarriages.

Metformin is good for PCOS. I found my periods were a lot more regular while taking it,

I am overweight, but I don't know if that has any thing to do with the PCOS or (more likely) because I love food. I also suffer from excess hair and spots.

Food that is low on the GI scale is good for PCOS.

We are also more likely to become insulin resistant and diabetic.

Hi danni25800,I have both.i was told I had pcos in my late teens because my periods were so irregular and told I had endo in my 20's.i have a son who is 4 so it is possible.we re trying again now and ive been put on metformin,how are you feeling on it?im struggling to lose weight to.im only just overweight but I cut things out,excercise and nothing!if you want to chat more pm me,I know how frustrating this can be,I feel like im at the beginning of a very long journey.dont give up.xx
