Hi all. I had a laparoscopy on Wednesday this week, so currently recovering with a very sore, tender tummy. The Drs removed a 5cm cyst from my left ovary and detached the ovary from my bowel as they had become fused together by my endo. We've been trying to conceive for a year but sadly nothing has happened. The Dr has told me we have 6 months to conceive naturally, post-lap, if not then we're to go straight in to talk options, such as IVF. Feeling a huge amount of pressure right now! Any tips, advice, guidance on trying to conceive, post-laparoscopy, would be greatly received. M xx

Recovering from a laparoscopy and the pressure is on....
My biggest advice was don't put too much pressure on yourself - very difficult I know!
I would just make sure you are eating a really nutritious diet, drinking plenty of water and getting lots of sleep so that as far as possible the rest of your body is in tip top condition.
If you have regular periods I would make sure you are 'attempting' more when you are most fertile. My biggest thing I would say would be to not make it a chore something you have to do to achieve the end result. Of course it needs to be focused upon as such but if it is the time you conceive then you want to look back on it with fond memories of a loving act rather than "it's quarter past three and I'm ovulating - quick".
I hope that helps. Just look after you, try as much as you can and want and see where you go from there.
Take care x
