I have a chocolate cyst on my ovary and it causes a lot of pain. I'm guessing as you are on this forum you have a diagnosis of endometriosis? As that is what "chocolate cyst is a sign of as it is a cyst filled with old blood it indicates Endo. I had the ultrasound scan that showed the cyst and then the doctor referred me to Gynaecology who then assessed my symptoms and then diagnosed me with Endometriosis. I know alot of women have a laparascopy to diagnose Endo. I have been put on contraceptive pill to see if helps my symptoms. I get pain especially from about day 13 of cycle which is about when ovulation happens which is a key thing with endo. I would go on at your doctor to refer you to Gynaecology to determine the course of treatment. Don't take no for an answer! I hope you get some answers!
