Hi, has anyone had treatment for diaphragmatic Endo via laparoscopy? Is this done on an outpatient basis and how long is the recovery?

Many thanks for your help xx

It is the same as any lap for endo. Not outpatients, definitely in-patient.

You might be lucky and have the op in the morning and be allowed home in the evening, but 1 night stay is more common. Just to monitor you and the effects of the anaesthetic.

As for recovery it does depend on so many things not least of which what else you have done in the op, ie Lasering endo, excision of endo, removal of cysts or adhesions etc

The more you have done the longer the recovery.

2 weeks absolute speediest minimum for a basic lap op to have a look and nothing else. So just time to recover from the stab wounds.

But with excision surgery you are probably looking towards a couple of months or more to get over that kind of surgery and be free of op pains.

Not what you're looking for?
