Well Zoladex can give you bone and muscle pains. WHY? I have no idea, but partly it could be to do with altering your blood pressure and that can cause quite seriously uncomfy pains in the legs especially but also in arms and neck and lots of people reporting headache side effects from time to time too. It can wear off and come back again.

There is VERY LONG list of side effects which are as reported within the EU region, for zoladex

it can be found on

lupronvictimshub.com/risks/...

which is a pdf...move down to Page 8 for the Muscular/Skeletal pain reporting section.

Now this is just a teeny tny tip o the iceberg, because I very much doubt that any of us were asked to fill in any forms regarding the side effects they experienced, I certainly wasn't nor have I heard of anyone else being asked, but my list of side efect experiences was pretty lengthy by the time i was finished on zoladex. Clearly the bone/muscle and vein pains are an issue looking at the high number of reported incidents in that section compared to some sections.

The drug is not a pain killer, so the solution is take pain relie, keep hydrated, and get plenty of bed rest till the severely sharp pains ease off. Quite honestly i was bed ridden most of my time on zoladex.

The list on that pdf does include sciatica, but also look for all the other types of pains because people report their pains in different ways.

Only diagnosed a couple of years ago, but that was after nearly 30 years of a very uncomfy life !!! I do like to rummage online for answers and save the interesting websites. You never know when they will come in useful.

I was desperate for answers, and to get back some control over what was happening to me, so I made a big effort to squirrel out information from the web. anyone can do it if you have the time and determination.

I'm relieved to hear its not just me! I've had 4 injections (all 4 weekly ones) and have been suffering awful aching in my thighs. The consultant couldn't explain why and has said I'm in the 20% of women that this treatment doesn't work for. My GP prescribed anitriptiline for the thigh pain. It works well but leaves you very groggy.

Take care and keep us updated on how you are getting in.

yes i had similar pain in my left thigh. But that happen during menstrual cycle which didnt stop after my first injection of Zoladex. It probably could be due to adhesions , if it persist then you must see a neurologist.

I also have occasional pain in my knuckles..don't know if anyone goes through that.

When I used to have periods before the zolodex working most of my joints were painful hands knees ankles toes etc etc. Since I have been on the zolodex its only the sciatica style pain in the small of my back hip thigh etc. Also I have had a think of how to describe the pelvic pain I'm getting which is like fireworks going off sharp quick stabbing pain then in evening its that goid old dragging pain. Hey ho, cocodamol and naproxyn to the rescue. I'm at the doctors tomorrow to have exam and my last jab so I will discuss it all through with her.

These posts have reminded me that I had thigh pain for a month or two whilst on Zoladex too although it settled down. The only other time I've had this pain was whilst pregnant, had it whilst lying on my side in bed. Had to turn regularly.

I get sciatica pain with endo but this went away whilst on Zoladex.

Hi I d like to say thank you for bringing this topic up, as I awoke today in agony, muscle and joint pain, predominantly in shoulders, stiff painful neck, arms, headache, feeling very weak in my legs, and the usual tummy pain from my endo. I can bearly lift a cup of tea today?

its really worried me today as iv managed to nip to Tesco, were I thought I was going to pass out! muck out my horse and take the dogs for a short walk, this has nearly killed me and am so tired now I feel like iv run a marathon, I had a shower to see if it would help, but no sp am now back in bed after taking some tramadol, and paracetamol and Naproxen...

My last prostap, (same thing as Zolidex) was in July, as theyd only give me 6 months, but looks like i'll be starting them again soon, I did feel much better on it, although the HRT increased my pain so I stopped it and cope with the hot flushes and forgetfulness...

Has anyone else felt like this? its happening 4 days out of 3 at min?

How did you cope?

I can only describe it as like a fibromyalgia pain, starting to wonder if the two are linked in anyway?

Trying to stay positive but really struggling, I could just cry....x

Have a look on Lupronvictimshub website..what you are describing seems to be what many who have been on Lupron aka Prostap and other GnRH drugs have suffered long after coming off the drugs.

lupronvictimshub.com/index....

My only real long lasting side effect is the short term memory loss issue. At least that is not painful but it is damned annoying.

I had this when I was on Prostap injections but in my knees, I can reassure you when I stopped taking the injections it passed completely

Aching joints is a symptom of menopause and a symptom of Endo. With my Endo i got shooting pains down my right leg and a constant ache in the leg, every now and again i would also get a weird ache in my arm and other women have told me they got the same arm pain with Endo. Now i am on prostap those pains have stopped and i have the menopausal ache in my knees like an old woman!
