Hospital lost my lab results from operation. The histology dept. lost my sample so I couldn't get my results - they say!

I went to the hospital for my post op appointment. I had my lap 7wks ago. They found a small bluish nodule in the cervix. They sent it off to the lab and now told me they lost it so I can't get the results. I feel very disappointed as this is a large well known hospital in London. I would like to know if any of you guys could give me some advice about what to do in this situation.

I would take it further as it needs to be investigated how and why they lost it! Did they apologise and offer to do further tests? I too would be disapointed and angry X.
