It's a bit unusual but the O/T may be able to help you work out a suitable timetable re work & help you come up with ideas to help take your mind off Endo pain & all goes with it. Try it I would. Be great to hear how you get on. Take care

Hi Irelandwoman,

Thank you for your reply. I thought it was abit unusual too, Im a receptionist/admin in a 6th form so not sure what they can do but i will give it a go. they prob dont know much about Endo if anything and will prob look at me and think nothings wrong :(.

I will keep us all updated once ive seen them.

Take care

Is it just an Occupational Health assessment rather than an OT? OH is about looking at changes to your work and work environment that might help your health and improve your attendance. Things like filing trolleys and adjustable desks are the norm.

OT is a branch of social services that look at living aids in the home like grab rails.

I have to go and see a OH for work purposes every now and then, it's common in the public sector as they have a commitment to assist their staff in reducing sickness. It's nothing to worry about, and they can actually help you by getting work to agree to make changes to your employment to help you.

After seeing an OH i got full support for flexible working based on the OH report.

Good luck, you will be fine x

Oops, meant to put that OT isn't just grab rails it's loads more varied and in-depth than that, meant to say "grab rails to getting people back on their feet literally". Somehow did auto undo, but thought I better point it out as didn't want to offend an OTs, i work with a few and they would hit me if they saw that! :)
