After suffering for months with pain low down on the left side of my stomach the Doctor sent me for an ultrasound scan which showed up a "csyt"on my left ovary,a follow up scan showed that the "cyst"had increased in size so the consultant gynae suggested she remove it by laparoscopy.
During surgery the gynae discovered that I didn't actually have a cyst but it was my left ovary which was enlarged and that both ovaries were damaged, twisted and stuck to the back of my womb which was then stuck to my pelvic wall!!!I was dumstruck!!She said that all these problems were caused by Endometriosis.I am now having a 6 month course of zoladex injections to try and shrink the ovary and endo.So far my periods have stopped but the pain in my back is very intense,it's like having constant period pain which isn't even managed with really strong painkillers!!!I'm at the end of my tether with it now.I was wondering if anybody on here had tried anything else for the pain such as reflexology or acupuncture?I'm willing to give anything a try!!Any ideas welcome ladies!!!!

I have an endo too, I had a cyst on my left ovaries, so I had a lapo last month. My ovaries were also stuck to my womb. They have done everything to help me. I just started my first period after 2 years So I am feeling great. But I had my lapo done in Poland and the doctor here gave me a new hormone medication to deal with endo it is called : Visanne or it could be under a name visabelle. I am coming back to the Uk next month so I am trying to find out if this medication it is available in the UK. So please ask your doctor about it. I have been take it for almost a month and I have never felt better.
Good luck to you, be strong. I will keep you posted if I know anything else.
I've had acupunture it's good for pain.. I would stick to a paracetamol based pain killer..say Co codamol for it to work you have to take it regularly every four to six hrs to get full effect..after about 5 days you will see a marked improvement.... Good luck xx
