Allergies are not always what they appear to be. By this I mean that if you have an undiagnosed connective tissue disorder, chances are you are experiencing a histamine reaction that is actually your immune system over stimulating. Stress over any situation can bring about a histamine reaction. It may not appear to be “allergy” related at first but the symptoms are classic. Usually the first symptom is anxiety, I don’t know why more doctors don’t address the fact the antihistamines treat anxiety, because anxiety is the first sign that you have an autoimmune disorder. The next sign is disorientation, followed by confusion/brain fog, followed by what appears to be mania, then depression and an impending fear of dread. The reason for this is your immune system indicates an attack, even if you don’t realize it, and sends the signal to you mass cells. They then replicate at an exponential rate causing the above mentioned mental signs. The physical signs are: diarrhea, dizziness, light headedness, nausea/vomiting, unsteady gait and agitation. Usually, it then develops into arthritis because adrenaline cannot dissipate from the body, it can only be absorbed by the bones. If you experience any of these signs, I advise getting into an allergist and explaining your symptoms in detail so they can get you on the proper medication.
