Hello! Does anyone have any helpful exercise / movement tips? I have had major shoulder surgery, and rehab is slow. The rest of me is suffering from a lack of movement. Suggestions please!

Hi No Limits 😊🌿🌸🦋

I tore my rotator cuff. My rehab specialist ordered elliptical therapy. I rested /held on to the center bar with my bad arm while using the good arm on the back and forth upright pole.

Everything else but injured arm gets worked. Worked great.

Hope you can try this too

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Hi Honeybug!Thank you for responding. I will put the elliptical on my list for later, I think. I have back issues and hips that are very picky about what they let me do. I am hoping to build up to that!

There's the Muldowney Protocol, invented by a physical therapist who went to some conference and got to look at a bunch of people with EDS all at once. His thing is "you must do THESE physical therapy steps in THIS order." The physical therapy steps are just normal physical therapy techniques, it's the order that he says is important.

The book is called "Living Life to the Fullest with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome" and apparently there's an active Facebook group if you do the Facebook thing.

Definitely not a slick book, but I'd still recommend it. I only got so far before I had to return the book to the library, but I already uncovered a muscle that I didn't even realize has a chronic issue, and that is related to the thing I kept telling my physical therapist was probably originally at the root of a lot of my issues. So, the book helped me make progress while I had access to it.
