Hi! I have EDS Hypermobile type and for the last two years my feet have been turning red and swollen from standing too long or sitting in high chairs. They become painful to walk on. Anyone have this issue? What do you do to help the inflammation and ability to walk?
Anyone have red inflamed feet while s... - The Ehlers-Danlos...
Anyone have red inflamed feet while standing long periods?

By any chance have you had the vaccine ?? My feet and hands have been more effected since I had the vaccine a week ago.
Hi Jackie. I’ve had this issue from 2018 and haven’t got a clear answer except maybe dysautonomia or maybe erythromyalgia. Right now I have a heart monitor on to be on the safe side and investigate further. I’m just shocked that a doctor can see pictures of before and after of my feet and not give me a real answer.
Could this be related to PoTS? Quit often blood pooling is a sign of PoTS. It might be worth trying some compression stockings to see if that helps.
When my son stands up, even for a few minutes, his feet and lower legs go red, and his hands, if he is standing with his hands down, go a funny colour too.
It might not be this, but it is worth looking into as many people with hEDS also have autonomic dysfunction problems too.
Thank you. I have just ordered compression sleeves. Do his feet hurt to walk on once inflamed and red?
