I would think swimming or a good old fashioned walk. Gentle with something superior for shock absorption like Kayano Asics. Sorry for your pain x

Try Hatha yoga, or a very gentle Pilates class.

Hi. The best exercise varies as much as the eds varies between people. Personally, I have found strength training the best as it strengthens and stabilises the joints. Pilates also good. I don't recommend running, or any activity where your joints are continually being flexed under pressure. I used to walk (long walks) but found I couldn't do hills eventually, and where I live there are a lot of hills.

A lot of specialists EDS physios, especially in countries other than the UK, are now recommending isometric exercises for EDS as they strengthen the muscles without moving the joints. And swimming. If the water is too cold in your local pool look for a hydrotherapy pool. Some special schools and nursing homes have public sessions.

Was advised yesterday by a specialist that Alexandra technique exercise if you can find someone near you is the best type of exercise for EDS, we’ve not tried it yet but heard it’s very good 🤗
