Thirza, it is only a consultant rheumatologist who will be able to give you the answers you are looking for. If, as you suspect, your pains are caused by Fibromyalgia, this will be confirmed by finding certain points in the body that appear sensitive to the touch. If it turns out to be caused by another inflammatory/autoimmune disease, such as Polymyalgia Rheumatica for instance, steroid medication etc can be prescribed to relieve the pain. A Vit D deficiency can cause pain in different parts of the body so if you haven’t had a blood test to check your Vit D levels, do request one. But do get that referral to a rheumatologist.
You will need to have tests done to see what is going on. there are so many things that can cause inflammation. The tests are easy to do but often it takes multiple types to truly diagnose. It took three years for me to get the diagnosis of Psoriatic Arthritis. So hang in there and fight for what you need.
