Good points you brought up. Something to discuss with your Doctor or renal dietitian. My diet an restricted on phosphorus, sodium and potassium. Servings also limited. Keep us posted.
We can not prescribe a diet to you. What stage are you and are you on Dialysis. The normal amount of protein for a 150 pound man is 0.8mg/kg . That would equal 54 mg of protein per day for that 150 pound man. That is according to any easily available information on the internet. What your body needs will depend on your own personal stats. The more you weigh the more your body actually needs. The less you weigh, the less. If you are really concerned I always recommend you ask your doctor how and why he came up with that specific amount of protein.
I agree with Orange City; follow the diet given to you by your dietician as it was tailored for your individual needs.
A thought would be to call and check about how much water you should be drinking and any exercise as well in addition to your designated diet - based on your labs. It will cover all bases and keep the communication open between you.
Keep in mind that every person is different; what may work or be good for one person may not be best for another. It will all work out.
Stay safe and please let us know how you are doing.
