Creatinine = 96 ml/mmol, increased from 84 six months ago.
My GP said I need not worry. It still fluctuates in the normal range, especially after an increased dose of Losartan. It could also be I have exercising lately, plus eating a lot of red meat. He wants to continue to monitor me for three months; if my GFR continues to decrease at the current rate, then referral to a nephrologist.
I am pretty scared. My GFR drops significantly despite not much increase in protein leak. At the current rate of decrease, I may see dialysis before the age of 40...well, I don't want to go there!

I can understand your feelings of fear that your kidneys will fail and you will be on dialysis when you see numbers change.
Remember - until a doctor tells you that, it isn't so. The Important thing is that you have seen your doctor.
I tend to agree with your GP not to panic at this time. The important thing is that you two are in contact, are on the same page and that you are working to stop progression.
As you know your GFR and other kidney tests will fluctuate. Especially this time of year, proper hydration is vital.
Exercise before tests can also raise the creatinine level as well as the quantity and type.
You know how vital diet is for kidney patients. More vegetables, fruits; low sodium and no red
meats.
So hard as it is, cut red meat out of your food regimen. My nephrologist had me add 2 tbsp of organic chia seeds to my yogurt in the morning. Good fiber, protein and omega 3 for the cholesterol. Egg whites and vegetables are also good.
Roast veggies with oilve oil garlic and onion powders as well as black and even ground red pepper and dip in plain hummus- delicious.
Please watch your stress level as that will not help the situation.
I am no doctor, but feel that if you make some changes, three months will come quickly and generate a surprise to you.
Remember, it's all a process.
Please feel free to reach out to me as I will always reach back.
