Hi everyone,

Good news and bad after visiting docs this morning my kidneys Gfr 48 so he wasnt too concerned (had been 40)but my blood pressure is causing concern he said 1 in 5 chance of a heart attack or stroke I have been unable to take tablets for this as i was unable to tolerate them however now it seems do or die situation so have now got a scrip for bp meds and statins.

got to go back in a couple of weeks and taking bp readings at home for the next fortnight.

Going to continue with the dietary advice on here

as I am sure its the right way to go

HI Mrs.

What are your readings for the BP? I do not care for doctors who use scare tactics. So unless you BP is way out of control, like 200/100... I would heed the advice by trying to take the medication, but not lose sleep about stroking out tomorrow.

You said you were unable to tolerate them. There are a lot of different medications out there for this condition. I was taking one for years and they recalled it. The doctor tried something else and it was awful and not good, so we tried something else. That seems to work. I did the same thing with another medication. I went through 7 different kinds before we found one that worked. Fight for what you need.
