Urgent help

Hi everyone, I’m a 17 year old girl and fir the past week I’ve been having difficulty go to the toilet. I constantly feel the urge to go toilet but when I do only two or three drops come out and I feel a great pressured down there. Any thoughts?

Thank you for your message and welcome to this group.

You must feel so uncomfortable . You need to see your doctor or GP as soon as possible. There is a good chance they will be able to help you. Take a sample of urine with you. They will be able to check for a urinary tract infection.

Do have lots Of fluids especially water.

I'm male, so don't have any personal experience with these issues in females. Lots of things could be the cause of this urinary retention; you can look that up online. I would not be guessing about it, but I would see your PCP and get a physical exam. I would not bring any urine with me; that, IMHO, was not good advice. The doc will collect a sample in the doc's office to try to avoid contamination and do a urinalysis with microscopic exam and culture if they see signs of infection or cloudiness. The doc might also do some blood work; I would insist on at least a Basic Metabolic Panel. Good Luck. Don't delay.

See your doctor. After my first child, I had the urge to go so bad that I was doing lamaze breathing exercises. The nurse was ready to punch me. Then they found out that I had an infection. The nurse was very apologetic.
