I have just had a print out of my blood test results, and it states

AKI O Stage O Alert. does anyone know what this means ? I am at stage 3 CKD my GFR is 44

my husband had AKI when he fell down the stairs so i imagine it would be that his kidney took quite a bash causing injury but i would also think you may get AKI from infections causing injury to the kidney so sounds like you have no injury either way! maybe!

Thanks for your reply. I asked the nurse at the surgery today about my blood test result [ AKI 0 ] She said like you I dont have any injury, and these tests are being done with all routin blood tests now ? first one I have had. Perhaps those of us with CKD will get it done in the future.
