Taking diuretics

Has anyone had a problem with diuretics ?

I have recently been prescribed 2 months ago " Bendroflumethiaze" and it seems that I am having more symptoms of cystitis, and back pain [ kidney region ] I am at stage 3b CKD.

These tablets were added to my Lercanidipine, and Bisoprolole for my blood pressure.

I know that diuretics make you pass urine more, so perhaps they are dehydrating me? I can ask my GP. after the weekend. But just wondered if anyone else had the same problem with diuretics. I am at the moment treating myself with bicarbonate of soda, which has helped enormously, and upped my fluid intake.
