GFR 47, Right Flank Pain And Weakness
Can I just say get down to A&E right now!!! I had terrible pain in my left flank and there was a blockage that needed to be sorted immediately. You don't want an infection to get so bad that it decreases your function anymore. If its nothing, they will send you home, but if it is blockage/infection then they will sort it quickly!
let us know how it goes

Hello Miffybell. I am sorry to hear you are in so much pain. My advice is if you haven't already done so get checked out by a doctor.I have Polycystic Kidney Disease. When I had severe and unrelenting pain on two occasions one time it was Pylo-nephritis a severe infection and on the second occasion it was a kidney stone passing on through! I also have what I describe as ongoing pain due to the size of my kidneys. I struggled with this for many years until I was referred to a pain control specialist, he prescribed 1% Lignocaine patches which i wear over the site of the pain for up to 12 hours a day. I now have control of the pain I do still have some bad days where I need Paracetamol and codiene but so much better. The tiredness could be related to the pain especially if it is effecting your sleep, but it is a part of the life of a kidney disease sufferer. Hope this helps best wishes Tina
