Hi I’m wondering if many or any of you use the blood monitoring arm patch? I’m considering it but read it’s ups and downs... you still have to use the finger pricked but less? The sensors probably cost a lot! Are they worth getting in general basically?

Depending on the type you’re going to get, you can talk to the doctor first to get permission to do the insertion on your arms. If you aren’t allowed, you may have to insert the sensor under your skin on your stomach.
Hi, I’m a T1 diabetic and started using the Freestyle Libre nearly two years ago. It has transformed my diabetic life. I’m in control and can test myself discreetly whenever I want. The reports such as ‘Time in Target’ are also very useful and have helped me have better control. The sensors cost approx £50 per fortnight but I get mine on the NHS.
Hi Diabeticwalker, your reply sounds like what many people Have said. But the sensors do cost a lot don’t they? You’re lucky you get them on the NHS! Who can and who can’t get them on the NHS?
Hi. I've been using the libra freestyle monitor for about a year. It's great! I have learned so much about which foods cause my blood sugar to spike and then have used that information to modify my diet and manage my glucose levels much better. Plus, NO more finger sticks. Unless cost is an issue, I can't see why anyone would hesitate to get one.
