There are a lot of overweight nurses around.

Is the person tending the patient in the heading not rather overweight and likely to be diabetic?

I went to see a dietician at my last medical practise and took along a print out of our usual monthly diet. That's very good she commented reading it as she tucked into a packet of Wotsits.

There's quite a few overweight doctors, as well!

In all my medical appointments in the past 25 years I don't recall one.

One time I was in hospital for a couple of days nearly every nurse who checked my BP all said that theirs was raised as well and most of them smoked.

My wife was a nurse and excused the overweight ones saying that most of them did not eat properly due to their shifts.

Well there's plenty round here. Just spent 2 weeks with an Irish surgeon we met on a cruise ship and he was quite a chunky lad as well!
