Well on 1 January I wasn't sure how far I'd get going AF, although I did start earlier on 29 December. I surprised myself by actually smashing it! Not one drop has passed my lips. Yes, I've had temptations but I managed to swerve them and as the days went by it got easier. Oh don't get me wrong, I've made so many attempts in the past 10 years and couldn't even get past week one so I know how difficult it can be.

So now my next target is Free February, I can't look any further than that and last night was a real temptation, celebrating my sister's 70th birthday. Luckily I'd been telling some of the family of what I'd been doing and had succeeded at so I couldn't let myself down by having a drink, and I was driving and had agreed to take my sister home. On the way back I would sometimes have stopped to buy a bottle of wine r something but I was too tired. So that's another 9 days under my belt. Wow 6 weeks now.

I'm wishing everyone a successful journey on the road to alcohol freedom. Stick with it and if temptation rears it's head stop and think, not about that drink but about what you could do instead of having that drink.
