Welcome to this community. We’re glad to have you. This is a place where we help each other by sharing our experience strength and hope. Whether you want to quit entirely. Or try for some moderate drinking, there will be someone here for you

I’m one of the abstinence people. There’s no way I can drink moderately. Been there. Tried that. Social drinking has never been one of my skills. I started off drinking to excess and continued that way for 12 years.

Keep coming in and posting. It’s good to be accountable. Let’s stay sober for today.

thank you for welcoming me to this community I know it won’t be easy I have to abstain at least for now as one drink always leads to a bottle every day dry for me will be an achievement

hello & welcome! From personal experience, the first week was the hardest, I needed a lot of reminders, reassurances, distraction, new routines and support from people who understand and won’t judge - I am too weak to admit to my family and friends that I needed help for my drinking problem, but luckily I found this forum and got a lot of advice and support. So do check in from time to time and share your progress!

Sorry for the loss off your husband 💕it's hard when you loose your loved ones hence we revert to a alternate the evil drink or drugs..

I have lost so many of my family members just lately, recently my cousin then mother in law..

I have been drinking every night for a long long time, decided enough is enough..

First night last night with no drink omg my sleep was all over the place however going to stick with it..

Stay strong onwards and upwards 👊

Welcome to the group, I've only been in the group for 3 weeks but I have found it to be very supportive and no one judges you. When I have been feeling sorry for myself or just wanting to rant they have all been great. Stick with the old cliche ONE DAY AT A TIME..Good luck.
